Dr. Susan Martin is the ID-PIC Program Director as well as Site Director/Supervisor at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho. Dr. Martin received her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology and completed her internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She completed a 2-year fellowship in health psychology in primary care at Michigan State University/Consortium for Advanced Psychology Training/Flint Area Medical Education in 2006. After 9 years of working in an urban family medicine residency, Susan came to Boise to pursue teaching residents in the rural setting and has been Associate Director of Behavioral Sciences for the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho since 2015. Susan’s special areas of interest include integrated care, medical education and health psychology in primary care. She is an advocate for promoting the profession of psychology. Outside of work, her family spends time hiking, biking, camping, and traveling to sports tournaments.
