Dr. Susan Martin (she/her) is the ID-PIC Program Director and Site Director/Supervisor at Full Circle Health/Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Nampa, ID. Dr. Martin received her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Florida Institute of Technology and completed her internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Susan completed a 2-year fellowship in health psychology in primary care at Michigan State University/Consortium for Advanced Psychology Training/Flint Area Medical Education in 2006. Dr. Martin specialized in urban family medicine residency training for 9 years following fellowship. Susan then came to Idaho to pursue teaching family medicine residents in a rural setting and has been with Full Circle Health (FCH) since 2015. Susan’s special areas of interest include integrated behavioral health and psychology internship and fellowship training at FCH. She is an advocate for promoting the profession of psychology in Idaho. Dr. Martin’s clinical experience includes short-term cognitive behavioral outpatient therapy for adults and older, adult LGBTQIA+ populations and persons of refugee status. She is a member of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee at FCH in Nampa which aims to reduce biases and increase inclusivity in education. She is past president of the Idaho Psychological Association (IPA), and been a member of the Ethics Committee, Continuing Education Committee, Advocacy and Legislative Affairs Committee and Diversity Task Force at IPA. Dr. Martin is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Family Medicine. Outside of work, their family spends time hiking, biking, camping and attending sports adventures.
